Trudi was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of sixteen she left everything familiar to move to the United States and pursue her dream of becoming a full-time artist. Trudi’s work usually features detailed illustrations with strong feminine personas and botanical elements. Having grown up in the hills of Saint Andrew, Jamaica, nature has always been a huge inspiration for her work. Trudi creates Illustrations that feature a diverse range of characters and soothing color palettes. Growing up she didn't see much media with people who looked like herself so she tries to represent a diverse range of characters throughout her illustrations. Trudi believes that the cartoons that she watched as a child heavily influenced her art style. Her work features a mixture of energetic bold colors, whimsical textured dreamscapes and dynamically appealing compositions. Trudi earned her BFA in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and is currently working full-time as an Illustrator and Designer.

When Trudi’s not drawing, she enjoys curling up with a Studio Ghibli movie, crocheting, reading or taking care of/ talking to her many plant babies.
