Meet the Artist

Trudi was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. At the age of sixteen she left everything familiar to move to the United States and pursue her dream of becoming a full-time artist. She is currently working full-time as an Illustrator and Designer. Trudi’s work usually features detailed illustrations with strong feminine personas and botanical elements. Having grown up in the hills of Saint Andrew, Jamaica, nature has always been a huge inspiration for her work. Trudi creates Illustrations that feature a diverse range of characters and soothing color palettes. Growing up she didn't see much media with people who looked like herself so she tries to represent a diverse range of characters her work. Trudi believes that the cartoons that she watched as a child heavily influenced her art style which is a mixture of bold, vibrant colors and intricate plant-inspired compositions. Trudi earned her BFA in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

When she’s not drawing, Trudi enjoys curling up with a good Ghibli movie, hour-long hikes, reading, crocheting and taking care of her gremlin fur-babies. She one day dreams of living the life of that artist from Kiki’s Delivery Service; spending her days creating in the shelter of old, wise trees.

Some of her notable clients include: NICK Jr, Harper Collins, Penguin Random House, Bento Box, Adobe, Bizarre Beasts, Oni Press, Disney Plus, Verizon RYOT, SuperSassy
